Light Bulbs in Dark Moments
It is not by chance that when people reach rock bottom, they figure things out or discover who they truly are. We've seen several cases where people discovered who they truly are and what they want to do with their lives while incarcerated.
We've seen entrepreneurs who came up with a game-changing idea while in debt and unable to pay their employees. We've seen people learn wealth secrets through the agony of being broke, and we've seen top athletes and musicians build their resilience through hardship living in slums.
Dark moments are not desired, but when they occur in our lives, there is a reflective aspect to them that changes something in us. This transformation could be repentance, resilience, recovery, or redirection. These are light bulbs that can set us on a new path, give us new hope, or forever change us.
So far, the best advice I've received from a mentor has been "don't waste the chaos, there is order in the chaos if you are reflective enough."
He gives understanding to the simple.
