INSIDE YOUR DARK CLOUD IS A SILVER LINING
INSIDE YOUR DARK CLOUD IS A SILVER LININGGood morning friends. I know it has been a very hard season and complaining seems valid because of all that is going on. However, I want to share a message of hope with you this morning.Just two years ago, I was invited to speak at an event in Oyo town. It was not a great time for me financially but I would always show up where young people are gathered no matter how hard. I knew it was not going to be a paid invitation so I had to take care of the trip by myself. I took 3000 Naira loan from a friend to fuel the car and I headed to Oyo.It was a great event and I was glad I inspired many people to pursue their technology dreams. After the event, I received warm handshakes from the organisers as they led me to the car. Despite my 1 hour of sweat erupting speech, they didn’t remember to even offer me a bottle of water. I had to stop at the roadside shop to buy a bottle of water on my way back to Ibadan. I had every reason to complain and call the organisers out for poor welfare of their guest speaker, I, however, looked at the brighter side and made excuses for the organisers who didn't seem to have money but passion to help young people. The bright side of this story is that I helped someone on my way back to Ibadan who worked for a policy and research organisation in Ibadan. We had a good chat in the car till I dropped him off at his office. Two years after that trip, the favour I had gotten from this person if quantified in Naira, is way more than than 3 million Naira. I continue to benefit from that relationship to date.Have you been cheated? do you feel maltreated?Your anger is a valid one brother. Your complaints are valid my sister. However, let me remind you that ALL THINGS are working in your favour.A repayment in thousand folds for your shame is coming. Set your eyes on the brighter side.Have a good dayHe gives understanding to the simpleOluwseun David ADEPOJU
