I travelled so much; I am building an airport

Who else is wondering what type of title is this?I am surprised myself. That was the phrase that came to my mind as I thought about what to share with you. Folarin Falana said that line in one of his songs with SIMI. He tried to use that line to brag to SIMI that he has travelled so much that he is now building his own airport. While the line sounded funny, there is a lesson in it.In life, we all desire to become experts in something or be known as an authority in a craft, a business or a field of knowledge. We become experts by investing time, energy, resources and years learning and polishing our expertise till we can proudly say, "I am a guru".Building an airport after years of travelling for Folarin is a sign that he has come to the place of authority in what he loves doing, travelling. For you, the statement could be, "I have made music so much that I am building my studio". For another, the statement might be, " I have made hair for people so much that I am producing my own brand of hair cream". I have studied the stories of many great people and the common thing to all of them is that they were consistent. Many of them did not have it all figured out and many started on a plain we cannot even refer to as greatness. They just started and remained consistent.What many young people don't know is that the world observes you when you start something and many had the notion that you are going to get tired soon and the dream will vanish. However, when you remain consistent, the same people who thought you will get exhausted and quit will celebrate you and even turn your advertisers.Don't stop young man.
