Brilliance is not enough

In one of the "letter to my son" series that I share once in a while on my Facebook page, I shared a piece with the line "consistency will take you where brilliance fails".It is not enough to be brilliant in a world that loves brilliance and genius. I know that I have at least ten books living in my belly that I must produce and share with the world, but I need the discipline to write the books. No matter how brilliant I am, I need the consistency to keep writing these books in bits. My consistency must complement my brilliance if any book dreams come to fruition. My first book, "understanding to the simple", is 600+ pages, and it is a compilation of four years of consistent writing. There was no way I would have written a 600 pages book in a one-week writing retreat. I have discovered that it is better to have the strength of an ant combined with consistency than to have the power of a lion with indiscipline.Let your consistency meet with your genius, and you will unleash remarkable value on your world.Oluwaseun David ADEPOJUJoin my Newsletter
